To Dust started in early 2009 as the website for The League of Extraordinary Ordinaries, an urban exploration group that operated in Upstate New York and Eastern Connecticut. After the group disbanded, the site was brought back online by Malchance in 2011 for use as his personal UrbEx gallery and blog.
